The "Trans-Cité" projets aims at enhancing citizenship among youngsters and female migrants in disadvantaged districts in several departements in Ile de France (Paris, Seine Saint-Denis, Essonne, Val d'Oise, Yvelines et Sein et Marne). In order to achieve this goal, the project is offering to youngsters and female migrants an associative experience together with a transmission exercice. In order to have a clear awareness of their role of citizens in their neighborhood, they create an association answering their needs and interests, and they are asked to transfer this experience to others. The participation to the project encourages a process of autonomy and self confidence.

The Trans-Cité project offered six pedagogical sessions with youngsters and female migrants to build a project in order for them to be aware, concretely and on the ground, with the reality of a voluntary experience to enhance citizenship.
