Wouter SMETS

For 10 years, Wouter was a teacher in History and Human Sciences in several secondary schools in Anvers (Belgium). Since 2013, he has been a researcher for the Karel de Grote University College, for vocational education of teachers. His scientific works are dedicated to the crucial challenges of contemporary education: how to implement a high level education combining individual talents with a sustainable and available for all education ? The idea of differentiated class rooms, taking into account the diversity of students is his main topic of research. In order to guarantee sustainable innovations, he has implemented co-creation projects with urban schools. In collaboration with th Université Libre of Bruxelles (ULB) he is working on a PHD in Pedagogy.
