Teresa Seabra is a Professor of Sociology of Education in the Department of Sociology (ISCTE-IUL) and a researcher in Sociology, specialised in the fields of education, school performance and ethnicity (CIES-IUL). She has been the director of "Education and Society" Master in the Lisbon University Institute (ISCTE – IUL), since 2001 and has been teaching Sociology of Education. She is a researcher in the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology (CIES-ISCTE-IUL), and has coordinated several projects relating to family and school education and studies of evaluation (since 1993). She is author and co-author of  several communications, conferences and publications.
