Lien Fret

Lien Fret has a master’s degree in Dutch and English Language and Literature. Because of her experience in teaching Dutch as a second language to both children and adults in urban education, she contributed to the curriculum revisions of the Flemish teacher education programs aimed at preparing future teachers for urban challenges/opportunities such as multilingualism and socio-cultural diversity. Her research on children’s literature and freelance work in promoting reading made diversity a primary focus in her work as a teacher educator at Karel de Grote University College.
