Colm O'Brien

Colm O'Brien

Colm O'Brien studies and teaches the Early Medieval era (http://www.sunderland.ac.uk).  His work centres on the kingdom of Northumbria, where he works on the related topics of settlement, kingly and monastic sites and territory.  With a base in Lifelong Learning, mostly he teaches adults who wish to engage in formal learning in the midst of busy lives.  This has its challenges and its rewards and is constantly stimulating.
